About the role
A large health care company in Toronto is hiring for this role. The financial accountant owns the day-to-day accuracy of the books, from the general ledger and bank reconciliations to intercompany activity. The role also supports year-end financial statements and the external audit.
What you'll do
- Record and reconcile general ledger, bank, accounts receivable and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and cash flow forecasts.
- Produce financial reports and prepare tax filings.
- Maintain the accounting system and capital asset records.
- Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and the external audit process.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience in general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable and intercompany accounting.
- Experience preparing journal entries, cash flow forecasts and financial reports.
- Working knowledge of tax filings and capital asset tracking.
- Exposure to year-end close and external audit support.
