A large software development company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will own backend services, APIs and distributed platform components that move data through ingestion, processing and delivery, and you will see them through to production support.
What you'll do
- Design, build and operate backend services and APIs for the data platform
- Develop distributed platform components for data ingestion, processing and delivery
- Own your services through deployment and production support
- Improve the reliability and performance of platform services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture and platform standards
What you bring
- Senior-level experience building backend services and APIs
- Experience with distributed systems and data platform components
- A track record of running services in production and supporting them after release
- Comfort contributing to architecture decisions and shared platform standards
