A mid-sized transportation and logistics company in Georgetown is hiring for this role. You will own daily transportation and fleet operations, from dispatch and routing to driver performance and compliance. The role exists to keep service reliable while the team improves how it works.
What you'll do
- Oversee daily transportation and fleet operations, including dispatch, routing and scheduling
- Manage driver performance and compliance
- Coordinate equipment utilization and maintenance
- Lead and develop your team members
- Monitor performance indicators and resolve service issues with partner teams
- Implement improvements aligned with business goals
What you bring
- Experience managing transportation or fleet operations
- Working knowledge of dispatch, routing and scheduling
- Understanding of driver compliance requirements
- Ability to lead and develop a team
- Comfort tracking performance indicators and working across teams to fix service issues
